This is the second version of A Hazy Shade of Winter to be released by the band. The first appeared on the Gee and Al/Do Not Do EP, and was later included on the bonus disc distributed with the first 5,000 copies of No Touch Red in Australia. This version of the song was originally recorded at Birdland Studios by Lindsay Gravina in 1995. It has been remixed by Kalju Tonuma at Sing Sing Studios (August 1999) with Tom adding backing vocals.
